Where is Lochside Hotel?

Lochside house hotel sits right on the Ayrshire & Dumfries and Galloway Border. Nestled in amongst the sprawling hills is this fantastic wedding venue. The closest town to the venue is New Cumnock, only a few miles away. The nearest city is Ayr which is around 21 miles to the west.

The closest airports to the venue are Glasgow Prestwick and Glasgow International airport. The closest rail connections is in New Cumnock. With the venue being so close to the town, getting taxis for transport is straightforward if you don't have a car.

Why choose Lochside Hotel for your wedding ceremony?

Lochside Hotel sits on a beautiful piece of land with manicured gardens, a stunning loch and views overlooking the hills.

The hotel is a chic, historically significant Georgian structure with a fusion of modern and vintage furnishings that create a chic and inviting ambience. The location also offers a variety of spaces for ceremonies and receptions, ranging from small gatherings to more significant events, giving you a lot of freedom in selecting the ideal setting.

How many guests can it hold?

Depending on how the area is set up, the Lochview suite, the primary event room, can hold up to 200 guests for a reception.

The room is the perfect location for a romantic wedding celebration because it has huge windows that let in natural light and offers an amazing view surrounding countryside.

The hotel also has smaller event rooms that can be used for private ceremonies and receptions for smaller weddings.

These rooms can accommodate between 50 and 80 people for a reception.

The Miller suite

The suite used to be the venue's main ceremony and reception room but has since become a more dedicated space for the ceremony. The room is spacious with lots of seating and at the end of the room where the couple get married is floor to ceiling windows with views over the loch. The perfect ceremony view if you ask me!

Lochview Suite

The loch view suite was recently upgraded in 2021, and what a transformation. The suite is split into two rooms. The first room you enter is the light, airy open-plan reception room, perfect for your afternoon drinks after the wedding.

Walking through the double doors at the end of the room, you will be met with the stunning wedding breakfast room where your speeches and meal will take place. A divider can be placed in the middle of the room to block out the stage and dancefloor area during the wedding breakfast.

Once removed for your evening reception and dancing, the room takes on a new feel, open plan and room to accommodate all your evening guests and everyone you invited throughout the day.

Accommodation at the Lochside Hotel Weddings.

Lochside hotel wedding venue has plenty of accommodation for all your guests.

There are 32 rooms inside the hotel, from classic and executive rooms to several beautiful luxurious suits. The hotel also has four stunning lodges on site, with the smallest one holding 2-6 guests and the largest holding between 10-18 guests.

Making the lodges the ideal location for the bridal party to spend the night before the wedding.

Best timing for your wedding.

Lochside Hotel is a stunning venue at any time of the year. However, my personal favourite time of the year is in the heart of the summer when everything is luscious and green.

If you choose a winter wedding, you may even be in with the chance of snow due to the venue's high elevation in the hills. So it could be a winter fairytale wedding venue.

Unique Locations for your couple's photos.

My favourite part of weddings is the couple's photos after the ceremony. Knowing the best places to go allows us to spend your time wisely and return you to your guests as quickly as possible. !

The grounds of Lochside House make for some of the best photo opportunities. The venue has well-kept gardens with a beautiful water-feature pond towards the entrance.

If you walk down by the back of the venue, you get those amazing lochside views with the hills in the background for a beautifully rugged and wild look.

Why should you consider booking Crichton Church & Easterbrook Hall for your wedding?
