The Cornhill Castle Wedding venue sits just outside the important market town of Biggar in the Scottish Borders. 

With close motorway links on the M74 the venue is straightforward to get to from the north or south.

The closest airports to the venue are Glasgow International and Edinburgh, just around one hour away. The closest rail connections is in Lanark, just 30 minutes north. With the venue being so close to the town, getting taxis for transport is straightforward if you don't have a car but if you are travelling quite a distance a car may be a great idea.

A beautiful marquee that is perfect for wedding ceremonies, it can also be used as a backup ceremony location if you are planning an outdoor ceremony in the ground.

Cornhill Castle Wedding Venue has over ten rooms you can stay in at the Hotel, including there beautiful honeymoon suites. They also have several larger lodges on site that provides extra accommodation for your guests.

Best timing for your wedding.

The ideal time to have your wedding at Cornhill Castle depends on your personal preferences and what kind of wedding you have in mind. Scottish weather can be a bit chilly and damp, but each season has its charm.

Spring (March to May) is the best option, with mild weather and beautiful flowers.

Summer (June to August) is popular for outdoor weddings due to the long, warm days.

Autumn (September to November) is a colourful foliage and cool air season. 

Winter (December to February) can be cold, but it can also be a charming time with snow and warm indoors.

    I recently went to a wedding but was not happy with the room we had it was really cold. As everyone said it was really cold. Another thing I was told a champagne breakfast that didn’t happen either also at the wedding meal no tea or coffee was given
