This week I was lucky enough to meet another amazing couple for a great engagement shoot! Amber had entered my competition to win an engagement shoot at last years Friars Carse Wedding Fayre. With over 40 couples & brides entering the competition Amber’s name was the luckily lady who was picked out of the hat.
Much like myself she told me she has never won anything and it came as a shock to be the winner. And after a horrible winter we finally went out on the second day of Spring up Mabie Forest in Dumfries with Amber, her Fiancé Graham and their too amazing Border Collies. Although at times weather seemed to still be set in winter, finally the snow stopped and the sun came out and captured some fantastic pictures of the couple.
Both Amber and Graham are avid walkers & hill-walkers we decided that Mabie Forest just out the outskirts of Dumfries was the ideal choice of location with some of the best walks and views of Dumfries and the surrounding areas and we were not disappointed.
The couple are set to tie the knot this December at Friars Carse and I for one wish them all the happiness in the world starting their life together as husband and wife and I really hope they get a lovely blanket of snow to make it a winter wonderland!
If you and your partner would like an engagement shoot as a way to celebrate your new engagement (It’s also a fantastic way of producing some amazing save the date cards for your wedding) or if you are a couple who would just love some amazing fun and intimate images you will treasure forever then don’t hesitate to get in touch here, with all the amazing locations in and around Dumfries & Galloway we really are spoilt for choice!
